ISO 50001 certification since 12/13
ISO 50001 describes a globally applicable standard intended to help organizations establish a systematic energy management system.

It was published in June 2011 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and came into force in Germany on 24 April 2012.

It replaces the European Standard EN 16001.

The new standard can be voluntarily introduced into an organization and is not subject to mandatory certification.
